Harmless Error
Unless justice requires otherwise, no error in admitting or excluding
evidence — or any other error by the chancery court or a party--is ground for
granting a new trial or for vacating, modifying, or otherwise disturbing a
judgment or order. At every stage of the proceeding, the chancery court must
disregard all errors and defects that do not affect any party’s substantial
rights.

Unofficial copy of government-published law, reproduced from official sources with full provenance. Not an official publication; verify against official sources before relying on it in a filing. Records in the 'guidance' corpus, and only that corpus, are sub-regulatory (interpretive guidelines, survey procedures) and are not binding law. Validity bounds follow each jurisdiction's declared temporalBasis.
