W. Va. BMS Provider Manual § 509.10
Inpatient Care Provided Directly by the Hospice
The participating Hospice that provides inpatient care directly must comply with all of the following
standards for nursing, for member care, and for disaster preparedness:
•
Nursing services must be provided 24 hours a day;
•
Each shift must provide an RN who provides direct member care; and
•
Nursing care must be sufficient to meet any plan of care.
