Opening Statements
The lawyers will now make opening statements. The purpose of an opening statement is
to give the lawyers an opportunity to tell you what they expect the evidence will show so that
you will better understand the evidence as it is introduced during the trial. I must caution you,
however, that the opening statements are not evidence.

Unofficial copy of government-published law, reproduced from official sources with full provenance. Not an official publication; verify against official sources before relying on it in a filing. Records in the 'guidance' corpus, and only that corpus, are sub-regulatory (interpretive guidelines, survey procedures) and are not binding law. Validity bounds follow each jurisdiction's declared temporalBasis.
