Reimbursement Not Available Through a Factor

activein force · 2026-10-01 – presentcompiled-edition

BadgerCare Plus will not reimburse providers through a factor, either directly or by virtue of a power of attorney given to the

factor by the provider. A factor is an organization (for example, a collection agency) or person who advances money to a

provider for the purchase or transferal of the provider's accounts receivable. The term "factor" does not include business

representatives, such as billing services, clearinghouses, or accounting firms, which render statements and receive payments in the

name of the provider.
