Wis. ForwardHealth Online Handbook, Hospice, Topic #1140
Not Required for Hospice Services
Hospice services (core or other functions) do not require PA (prior authorization). Medicaid-covered services that would
otherwise require PA do not require PA when billed by the attending physician for a hospice member.
Providers of other Medicaid-covered services should follow the program requirements outlined in their service-specific
publications.

Unofficial copy of government-published law, reproduced from official sources with full provenance. Not an official publication; verify against official sources before relying on it in a filing. Records in the 'guidance' corpus, and only that corpus, are sub-regulatory (interpretive guidelines, survey procedures) and are not binding law. Validity bounds follow each jurisdiction's declared temporalBasis.
