Vt. MCLE Rule 9
REINSTATEMENT
(A) Reinstatement. An attorney suspended under Rule 8 may file with the Board a petition
seeking reinstatement.
(B) Petition. The petition must state with particularity how the attorney has rectified the
noncompliance. The petition must be accompanied by a reinstatement filing fee.
(C) Board Decision. If the Board determines that the attorney has rectified the
noncompliance, the attorney’s license will be promptly reinstated. The Board will give the
attorney notice in writing of any decision. The Board’s decision is final.
(D) Notice. The State Court Administrator or designee will inform the courts of the State of
Vermont that the attorney’s license has been reinstated.
This rule is drawn from the prior rule § 9(j), with the change
that the petition for reinstatement is now directed to the
authority of the Board rather than to the Supreme Court.
