Renewal Policy: Acceptance
The insured must accept an insurance company’s offer to renew an insurance policy before the
renewal becomes effective as an insurance policy. The insured may accept by an express act or by
implication from a course of dealing between the insurance company and the insured. The insured
must have accepted the offer to renew before the loss that gave rise to the claim occurred.
