Bonds

An attorney, party, or the spouse of a party in a civil case shall not be accepted as a

personal surety on any bond filed in that case.

Where the surety on a bond is a surety company approved by the United States

Department of the Treasury, a power of attorney showing the authority of the agent signing the

bond shall be on file with the Clerk of Court.

No person, partnership, corporation, or other association or entity may act as his, her, or

its own surety in a civil case.
