Multidistrict Litigation
Notice of Related Cases.
A party filing a complaint, answer, or other pleading in a case that may be subject
to pretrial proceedings before the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation under
28 U.S.C. § 1407 must file a written notice describing the nature of the case and
the titles and case numbers of all related cases filed in this or any other
jurisdiction.
Filing Time Requirement.
The notice required in section 3-3(a) must be filed at the time of filing or when
the filing party becomes aware of the related cases.
Attorney Admission Upon Remand or Transfer.
Upon remand or transfer of a multidistrict litigation case, an attorney who is not
already licensed to practice in this district must apply for pro hac vice admission
and pay the required fee.
