Scope of Magistrate Judge Duties – Criminal Matters
Magistrate Judges are authorized and designated to exercise all of the powers and duties prescribed
by 28 U.S.C. § 636(a) in criminal matters. Trials of criminal cases before the Magistrate Judges
shall be in accordance with Fed.R.Crim.P.58.
