N.D.N.Y. L.R. 23.1
Designation of “Class Action” in the Caption
(a) If a party seeks to maintain a case as a class action pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 23,
the party shall include the words “Class Action” in the complaint or other pleading asserting a
class action next to its caption.
(b) The plaintiff also shall check the appropriate box on the Civil Cover Sheet at the
time of filing the action.
