PRE-2024 COMMITTEE NOTE Local Civil Rule 72.2 sets forth the practices governing the automatic assignment of Magistrate Judges to cases in the Eastern District of New York. Local Civil Rule 72.2(b) is unnecessary in light of the modern practice of electronic filing of orders, and the Committee recommends its deletion. 2024 COMMITTEE NOTE This rule has been withdrawn and its contents placed in the Eastern District of New York Division of Business Rules.
