E.D. Mo. L.R. 12.02
Attorney Discipline
A member of the bar of this Court and any attorney appearing in any action in this
Court, for good cause shown and after having been given an opportunity to be heard, may be
disbarred or otherwise disciplined, as provided in this Court’s Rules of Disciplinary
Enforcement. In addition, a judge may impose sanctions pursuant to the Court’s inherent
authority, Fed.R.Civ.P. 11, 16, or 37, or any other applicable authority, and may initiate civil or
criminal contempt proceedings against an attorney appearing in an action in this Court.
The Rules of Professional Conduct adopted by this Court are the Rules of Professional
Conduct adopted by the Supreme Court of Missouri, as amended from time to time by that
Court, except as may otherwise be provided by this Court’s Rules of Disciplinary Enforcement.
