D. Kan. Rule 1.1
Scope and Modification of Rules; Definitions; Citation
(a) Scope. These rules govern the procedure in all proceedings before this court.
(b) Modification. In special cases, the court may modify these rules as necessary or
appropriate to:
(1) meet emergencies; or
(2) avoid injustice or great hardship.
(c) Definitions. As used in these rules, the term “judge” refers to a United States
District Judge, and the term “court” refers to either a United States District Judge
or a United States Magistrate Judge.
(d) Citation. These rules should be cited as D. Kan. Rule 1.1, e.g.
