Transfers of Cases Under 28 U.S.C. §§1404, 1406, 1412
When an order is entered directing the clerk to transfer a case to another district pursuant to the provisions of 28U.S.C. §§1404, 1406, or 1412, the clerk shall delay the transfer of the case for 14 days following the date of docketing the order of transfer, provided that where the court directs that the case be transferred forthwith, no such delay shall be made. In effecting the transfer, the clerk shall transmit the original of all documents, including the order of transfer, and a certified copy of the docket. The clerk shall note on the docket the date of the transfer.
The filing of a petition for reconsideration of an order of transfer shall not serve to stop the transfer of the case. The court on its own motion or on motion of the party filing a petition for reconsideration may direct the clerk not to complete the transfer process until a date certain or further order of court.
