References to the Record
References to the record in a brief must be to document
number and page number. The page number in a transcript is the page number that appears in the
header generated by the district court’s electronic filing system if available at the time of filing.
Otherwise, the page number is the page number assigned by the court reporter. The brief must note
the reference format used. A reference may (but need not) contain the full or abbreviated name of
a document.
