D. Alaska L.Crim.R. 3.1
Venue; Place of Trial; and Filing in Divisional Offices
(a) Original Actions
An action in which venue is proper in the United States District Court for the District of
Alaska may be commenced in any of the 5 court locations specified in 28 U.S.C. § 81A.
(b) Intra-District Transfer
On motion of a party or on its own initiative, the court may transfer a case to another court
location within the District of Alaska for some or all purposes.
