Time Limits for Motions, Oppositions, and Replies
Unless otherwise ordered by the court, or provided by statute or rule:
(a) Motions
Time limits for filing certain pretrial motions can be found in Local Civil Rule 16.1(c).
(b) Responses
Time limits for responding to motions are as follows:
(1) oppositions to motions brought under Fed. R. Civ. P. 12(b), 12(c), or 56 must be
filed and served within 21 days of service of the motion; oppositions to all other
motions must be filed within 14 days of service; and
(2) if filed, reply memoranda for motions under Fed. R. Civ. P. 12(b), 12(c), or 56
must be filed and served within 14 days; replies for all other motions, if filed, must be
filed within 7 days of service of the opposition.
