(Standard) §486.326(a) Qualifications
(1) The OPO must ensure that all individuals who provide services and/or supervise
services, including services furnished under contract or arrangement, are qualified
to provide or supervise the services.
Interpretive Guidelines §486.326(a)(1)
Review the written position descriptions for clinical and family support positions. These
descriptions should describe the requirements for licensure as applicable, educational
background and work experience. Review the files for a sample of clinical and family
support personnel (including those individuals providing services under arrangement) to
determine:
a) If employees meet the requirements of the position description within which
they are working; and
b) If licensure is applicable, whether the employee has a current license on file;
and
c) If employees participate in on-going training experiences to enable them to
provide or supervise services effectively.
