§482.90(a)(4) A transplant program must provide a copy of its patient selection criteria to
a transplant patient, or a dialysis facility, as requested by a patient or a dialysis facility.
Guideline 482.90(a)(4)
Transplant programs must make available a copy of their patient selection criteria to any patient
who makes this request so they may better understand what the program is using to determine
eligibility for transplantation. Transplant programs should provide the patient an opportunity to
obtain and review the program’s selection criteria early in the evaluation process to enable their
understanding of the selection process.
