§483.372(d) Staff involved in an emergency safety intervention that results in an injury
to a resident or staff must meet with supervisory staff and evaluate the circumstances
that caused the injury and develop a plan to prevent future injuries.

This discussion may be included in the staff debriefing or may be documented separately.
Documentation must address any staff procedures that will be changed as a result of the
injury or what additional staff training will be required. Refer to N-0189, N-0190, N-
0191, N-0192.
