(iv) Functional furniture, appropriate to the client’s needs,
Guidance §483.470(b)(4)(iv)
Client preferences and program needs should be considered in furniture selection. For clients
with physical disabilities, furniture is adapted to accommodate the client’s physical challenges
and enable the client to use the furniture with minimal support.
