§483.440(f)(2) the comprehensive functional assessment of each client must be reviewed by
the interdisciplinary team for relevancy and updated as needed;

The CFA is reviewed at least annually.
The review of the CFA occurs sooner than annually if:
• indicated by the needs of the client;
• reflects any changes in the client since their last evaluation; and
• incorporates information about the client’s progress or regression with objectives.
The review of the CFA applies to all evaluations conducted for a client. It is not required that
each assessment be completely redone each year, except the physical examination. It is
required that at least annually the assessment(s) be updated when changes occur so as to
accurately reflect the client's current status.
