Guidance §483.430(e)(2)
Staff receive training in the following areas:
• use of behavioral principles during interactions between staff and clients;
• use of accurate procedures regarding abuse detection and prevention, restraints, drugs
to manage behaviors, client safety, emergencies, etc.;
• use of least restrictive interventions;
• use of positive behavior intervention programming; and
• training clients in appropriate replacement behaviors.
