§ 494.100(b) Standard: Home dialysis monitoring
The dialysis facility must – (1)
Document in the medical record that the patient, the caregiver, or both received and
demonstrated adequate comprehension of the training;
Interpretive Guidance § 494.100(b)(1):
Medical records should include documentation of the training provided, and evidence that the
patient/caregiver demonstrated competence in performing the home dialysis procedures.
