Interpretive Guidelines §485.918(b)(1)(xiii)
CMHCs are required to provide drugs and biologicals furnished for therapeutic purposes
that cannot be self-administered. Therefore it is not uncommon for medication services
(physician orders, ordering medications from the pharmacy, storage of medication and
administration of non-self-administered medication) to be available.
