§485.914(c)(4)(iii) Information concerning previous and current mental status,
including but not limited to, previous therapeutic interventions and hospitalizations.
Interpretive Guidelines §485.914(c)(4)(iii)
The current mental status would state the level of alertness or confusion the client
exhibits and may be stated broadly as alert and oriented or may be stated generally as
confused, etc. It is important for the treatment team at the CMHC to have an
understanding of the history of all previous and current psychiatric treatment
interventions and/or hospitalizations to support the development of a clinically accurate
person-centered active treatment plan.
