§484.50(a) Standard: Notice of rights
The HHA must—
(2) Obtain the patient’s or legal representative’s signature confirming that he or she
has received a copy of the notice of rights and responsibilities.
Survey Procedures: §484.50(a)(2)
Clinical record review should confirm that the required written notice of patient rights
and responsibilities was provided to the patient. Note if the patient/legal representative’s
signature was obtained as required.
