Consultation Requirements Contained in JM 9-131.000 to 9-139.000

Consultation with the Criminal Division through the Violent Crime and Racketeering Section's Labor-Management Unit is required prior to initiating criminal prosecution in the following matters:

18 U.S.C. § 1951—Extortion arising out of labor disputes. See JM 9-131.030.

29 U.S.C. § 504—Prohibited Service with Labor Unions and Employer Associations. See JM 9-138.030.

29 U.S.C. § 1111—Prohibited Service with Employee Benefit Plans. See JM 9-138.030.

45 U.S.C. § 152, Tenth and Sec. 180—Labor-Management Disputes in the Railway and Airline Industries. See JM 9-139.103.
