Correcting Errors in HOPE Records That Have Not Yet Been Accepted by CMS
HOPE records that have not yet been accepted by CMS include records that have been submitted and rejected,
or records that have not been submitted at all. Records that have been submitted and rejected can usually be
corrected and resubmitted without any special correction procedures because they were never accepted by the
system. Hospices are responsible for correcting any errors to the record prior to submission or re-submission of
the record to CMS.
