BOP Program Statement 8562.01 § 2
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES. The expected results of this program
are:
a. Donated property will be properly and consistently valued
within FPI.
b. Managers will dispose of personal property promptly when it
becomes obsolete or excess to the needs of their respective
location.
c. Excess and surplus personal property will be disposed in
accordance with Federal Property Management Regulations (FPMR)
and General Services Administration (GSA) guidelines.

d. Proceeds from the sale of excess or surplus personal
property will be retained by FPI in accordance with statutory
authority and properly recorded in accordance with generally
accepted accounting principles.
