LABORATORY INFORMATION SYSTEM (LIS)
The Bureau will utilize a standardized LIS at all sites that provides laboratory services, waived
and nonwaived. The LIS interfaces with the EHR and results are electronically available for
provider review.. Under no circumstances will local agreements be negotiated with other
reference laboratories for interfaces.
Standardized reporting formats will be established and utilized within the LIS. All Bureau
laboratories are required to follow each of the standardized elements..
