BOP Program Statement 6360.03 § 20
URGENT CARE EMERGENCY CARTS & KITS
The Institution Chief Pharmacist is responsible for all medications located in the urgent care
carts, kits and bags.
Needles, syringes and controlled substances may be maintained in urgent care carts and will
be inventoried at least quarterly and whenever the urgent care cart seal is broken.
Medications approved for the urgent care carts, based on institution care level are determined
by the National Formulary.
