BOP Program Statement 6013.01 § 2
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES. The expected results of this program
are:
a. Methods will be established for institutions to participate
in an “Outcome Based” quality improvement system in which
critical aspects of patient care processes and patient outcomes
are measured, results are analyzed and improvements, when
necessary, are made.
b. The effectiveness of identified outcomes related to
specific evidence based guidance issued by the Medical Director
will be measured at each institution and reported to the Office
of Quality Management, Health Services Division.
c. To revise mortality review procedures to reflect a change
in reporting requirements of 30 days for the Comprehensive
Mortality Review process.
