BOP Program Statement 5200.06 § 5
DESIGNATIONS
Ordinarily, inmates suspected to have disabilities are designated via standard procedures
specified in the Program Statement Inmate Security Designation and Custody Classification.
If there is concern about the ability of the inmate to be accommodated at a particular facility,
consultation will be sought with the Women and Special Populations Branch, Psychology
Services Branch, or Office of Medical Designations, as appropriate.
