BOP Program Statement 4700.08 § 6
STOCK ROTATION
Supplies are issued on a first-in, first-out basis. To ensure proper stock rotation, accountable non-perishable food items are marked with a color identifying the quarter received:
First Quarter = Red
Second Quarter = Blue
Third Quarter = Green
Fourth Quarter = Yellow
