BOP Program Statement 4700.08 § 12
STAFF TRAINING AND REFERENCE MATERIALS
The FSA will ensure all Food Service staff have access to the FDA Food Code, Food Service
Branch on the Bureau’s intranet site, and all directives and standards referenced in this program
statement. The FSA will develop a training program that ensures staff are aware of the policies
and procedures required to perform their assigned duties. Equipment training will contain:
Proper operation, cleaning, and sanitizing.
Inherent dangers of each piece of equipment.
Symptoms of malfunction.
Staffs’ responsibility to report hazards, malfunctions, or unsafe conditions to their
supervisors.
