BREATH ALCOHOL TESTING (BAT)
While alcohol is a legal substance, abuse or misuse can lead to cognitive and physical
impairments hindering the safe performance of law enforcement duties and safety-sensitive
activities. Staff reasonably suspected of impairment related to alcohol use at the workplace will
be ordered to undergo BAT by trained staff members under reasonable suspicion testing.
