PURPOSE AND SCOPE

This policy establishes criteria for granting administrative leave to an employee or placing an

employee on administrative leave. Although the term “administrative leave” is not specifically

recognized in legislation or regulation, for the purposes of this chapter, administrative leave and

excused absence are deemed interchangeable.
