BOP Program Statement 1520.10 § 5
PHOTOGRAPHY AND PHOTOGRAPHIC SERVICES.
a. Photographs will be included in Bureau printed documents only when they:
Relate entirely to the transaction of public business and are in the public interest.

Relate directly to the subject matter and are necessary to explain the text.
Do not serve to aggrandize an individual.
Are in good taste and do not offend proper sensibilities.
Are restricted to the minimum size necessary to accomplish their purpose.
Illustrate employees engaged in an act or service related to their official duties.
b. Photographs of the President, Attorney General, and the Director may be obtained by
sending a memorandum from the Warden to the Office of Public Affairs, Central Office. These
photographs are for official use only and are normally used for display in executive offices or
general visiting areas.
