Enrollment Requirement Waivers
MAOs are permitted to modify certain enrollment requirements that hinder enrollment into
employer/union-sponsored Medicare Advantage (MA) plans. Where there are specific MA
requirements concerning enrollment, these requirements apply equally to EGWPs unless
explicitly waived or modified. Further information on enrollment requirements can be found in
the Medicare Managed Care Manual, Chapter 2 (Medicare Advantage Enrollment and
Disenrollment).
