Storing Provider Written Inquiries
MACs shall allow CMS access to all provider written inquiries stored off site within 24 hours of
notification to the MAC. All provider written inquiries, whether maintained on site or off site, shall be
clearly identified and filed for easy selection during reviews.
MACs shall enter in PCID the physical address where they store their provider written inquiries. MACs
shall enter changes to this information in PCID within 14 calendar days of the change.
