Charging Fees to Providers for Medicare Education and Training
Typically, MACs shall not charge for developing, reproducing, or presenting provider education and
training materials.
However, MACs may charge “fair and reasonable” fees in some circumstances to offset or recover costs
associated with education and training. MACs may not profit from or use fees to supplement MAC
activities in other functional areas.
