MAC Participation in the Review Approval Process
The RACs are expected to share CMS-approved new issue packages with their respective
MACs. However, MACs are no longer required to provide a validation report to CMS for
each new issue package. MACs shall participate in conference calls with CMS on ad hoc
basis when needed to discuss review topic questions if they arise during or after the
approval process.
