Settlement Agreements or Stipulations

During a bankruptcy, the servicing CMS Office and the CMS Counsel, working with the DOJ, may

negotiate a settlement agreement or stipulation with the debtor's attorney. Once a settlement agreement

or stipulation goes into effect, the CMS Office will advise all affected Contractors, other CMS Offices,

and the Office of Financial Management (CO). The servicing CMS Office will consult with the

Contractor to ensure that they conform to the conditions established in the settlement agreement or

stipulation.
