Becoming a Contract Supplier
Qualified suppliers that meet all competitive bidding requirements including, but not limited to,
eligibility, financial and accreditation requirements and whose composite bids are less than or
equal to the pivotal bid, will be offered a contract to become a contract supplier. Contract
suppliers will be held to all of the terms of their contracts for the duration of the contract period.
See section 30 of this chapter for more information about contract supplier responsibilities. For
the first round of competitive bidding, the contract period is July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2011,
with the exception of mail order diabetic supplies, whose contract period is July 1, 2008 through
March 31, 2010. The length of a contract period may not exceed 3 years.
