Change Request (CR) to Communicate Policy
CMS shall issue Change Request (CR) to communicate CMS policy to the A/B MACs,
DME MACs, CEDI or other contractors if designated by CMS. Additionally Technical
Direction Letters may be issued by CMS with additional information related to published
CRs or guidance to A/B MACs, DME MACs, CEDI or other contractors if designated by
CMS in the administration of Medicare policy.
