Blood and Blood Products Furnished in Hospital Based and
Independent Dialysis Facilities

Effective January 1, 2011,blood and blood products remain separately payable under the
ESRD PPS. However, the staff time associated with administering blood and blood
products is included in the ESRD PPS payment amount.
