Physicians’ Services Furnished on Non-Dialysis Days
Physicians’ services furnished on non-dialysis days are coded and paid under the same
rules as any other physicians’ services when non-renal related services are furnished.
Renal-related services may also be paid if the physician chooses to prorate the MCP
payment. Generally, these services are the physicians’ hospital visits and are coded and
paid as such.
