Supplementary Medical Insurance Incurred Expenses

The SMI plan includes coverage for expenses incurred for the services described in

Chapter 1, §10.3:

Payment may not be made under Part B for services furnished an individual entitled to

have payment made for those services under Part A, e.g., if the expenses incurred were to

satisfy a Part A deductible or coinsurance amount, or if payment would be made under

Part A except for the lack of request for payment or physician certification.
